Flowers hold a significant place in Sharambeyan’s still lifes. Colorful lilies, carnations, violets, cyclamens, as well as wild and indoor flowers, appear in his paintings in all their natural beauty, richness of color, and an almost tangible sense of fragrance. Sharambeyan was especially fond of depicting abundant bouquets of wildflowers, through which he evoked the freshness and breath of Armenia’s fields and valleys. He was also drawn to dried flowers, discovering a distinctive beauty in their faded tones and fragile forms, while at the same time evoking a melancholic sense of the passage of time
