Kond, one of Yerevan’s oldest districts, with its narrow streets, earthly houses, and irregular urban environment, captured Sharambeyan’s attention early in his student years. In this small-scale work, the artist depicts an unassuming scene from the neighborhood’s everyday life, conveying the intimate atmosphere of old Yerevan.
