Dilijan, with its picturesque scenery, forests, clean mountain air, and mineral waters, had long been known as a resort town. During the Soviet era, the holiday and therapeutic complexes built here gained wide recognition throughout the Soviet Union.
In 1961, Dilijan celebrated the 40th anniversary of the founding of its health resort. To mark the occasion, various cultural events were organized in the city. Sharambeyan opened an exhibition of Armenian artists dedicated to the 40th anniversary of Armenia’s first health resort. In the poster sketches created by Sharambeyan during this period, Dilijan is likewise presented as a symbol of health, recreation, and harmonious life in close connection with nature
